St Pius X College is an Independent Catholic Boys’ school (Years 5-12) in the Edmund Rice tradition, located in the heart of the Chatswood CBD, with an enrolment in excess of 1,100 boys.  The College provides a balanced education with a strong pastoral and academic focus, as well as a vigorous and comprehensive extra-curricular program.  The College is well known for its excellent academic results and for providing relevant, authentic, dynamic and creative learning experiences attentive to students’ individual needs.

 

TEACHER OF GIFTED & TALENTED PROGRAMS

A teacher of Gifted & Talented Programs is required for Year 5 to 9.

The position is a temporary part-time Maternity Leave replacement teacher at 0.8 FTE for Terms 3 & 4 2012.

Details:

  • 4 days / week (Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri).
  • The main focus is teaching Stage 3 Extension Mathematics with some Extension English in Stage 4.
  • Organisation and administering a range of Gifted & Talented offerings within the College  eg. Maths Olympiad, DaVinci Decathalon etc.
  • Must be a self starter / initiative taker, would suit a Junior / Middle School trained teacher.

YEAR 6 CLASSROOM TEACHER

A temporary full-time teacher is required from 16 July to 17 August 2012. (5 weeks)
